In my previous article, I reviewed the Cambridge Satin Flatware Set. In addition, we also published another piece where I shared information about various other satin flatware sets. As I started diving deeper into the topic, I wanted to review the LIANYU Satin Flatware Set, which caught my attention with its price. In fact, I didn’t just research it—I actually used it.

Honestly, I never thought I’d care this much about forks and spoons… but here we are. A few days ago, I got the LIANYU 45-piece satin flatware set, and it really made me question why I put up with flimsy sets for so long.

My First Impressions When I Started Using It

The most honest and accurate impressions about a product usually come in the beginning. If you write a review the moment you first get it, you’re likely to provide the most objective information. My first impression? Three words: Sleek. Solid. A little fancy.

I bought the set, brought it home, and unboxed it just like a YouTuber. The moment you open the box, you realize this isn’t an ordinary flatware set. The matte satin finish adds a subtle yet sophisticated touch. It’s not overly shiny but instead gives off a modern, relaxed elegance—like it’s saying, “Yes, I’ve got my life together”… even if I’m just eating instant noodles.

And let’s talk about how solid each piece feels. Nothing flimsy here. The knives are weighted, the forks don’t bend when cutting into steak. Even the dessert spoons feel sturdy.

What Will You See When You Open the Box?

If you think you’ll just see some basic flatware when you open the box, you’d be wrong. There are some surprises inside 🙂

  • 8 dinner knives
  • 8 dinner forks
  • 8 dinner spoons
  • 8 dessert forks
  • 8 teaspoons
  • 5 serving pieces (butter knife, cake server, etc.)

Honestly, the serving pieces were a nice surprise. I didn’t expect to like the slotted spoon so much, but I keep reaching for it.

We Got the Product, Had Our Meal—Now What About Cleaning?

I should point out that cleaning it is very easy. Besides being easy to clean, it doesn’t rust at all. I’ve run this satin set through the dishwasher multiple times. No rust, no stains, no fading. The matte finish is surprisingly durable. But don’t throw it in with your cast iron pans (rookie mistake, learned from experience).

One small tip: If you had a meal with tomato sauce, rinse the utensils right after eating. Stainless steel isn’t magic, after all.

The Ergonomics Are Real

The handles have a slight curve that fits perfectly in your hand. I’d never paid attention to this before, but now that I’ve noticed it, I don’t want to go back to my old sets.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re looking for a set that looks more expensive than it is, feels great in hand, and stands up to daily use—this satin flatware set is for you. It’s like the grown-up version of those random spoons you’ve collected since college.

Yep, I’ve become one of those people who recommend flatware sets. Never thought I’d see the day.
